If There Was A Day That I Could Give You, I'd Give You A Day Just Like Today
OWEGO, NY -- It's a dark and stormy night, probably the worst weather of the century. It's pouring buckets, raining cats and dogs, drenching every bit of everything that dare go outside. My friend, if there was a day that I could give you, I'd give you today.
Of all the days I have lived through, this is the one I would most like to get off my hands. I mean, there have been other bad days -- hurricanes, tornados, dark and gloomy weather... but none of them compare to today. And for that reason, I am going to give it to you. I don't want it anymore. So you can have it.
Why do I give it to YOU specifically? Well, I can't really get around it. I just plain don't like you. So you can suffer while I keep all my good days and dump the bad ones off on to you.
